“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
Mr. Julius Richard was born on May 15, 1945, to the late Mike and Mamie Drayton Richard in Colleton County.
Julius received Christ at an early age at St. Mary AME Church. He attended the public schools of Colleton County. Julius later moved to Bronx, New York where he remained until his death.
Julius was a hard-working individual. He was employed with St. Vincent Hospital in Bronx, New York and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. The most important thing, he love his family. Anytime you called he would never answer with a hello but instead “Praise the Lord!”, that we will miss.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by siblings, Lillie M. Thomas, Flossie M. Ames and Mike Richard, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his siblings Ezekiel Richard, Catherine Richard, Helen Hamilton, Willie (Berlie) Richard, Rose A. Marsh, Vivian (Floyd) Garrett, Betty (Harvey) Bryant, and Andrew (Angie) Richard; two aunts, Ethel Pencile and Retha Frasier; an awesome cousin, Janet Pinckney and Lashawn Fields who stood by his side until the end, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
