Julia Ann Liles was born on January 14, 1944, in Yemassee, South Carolina, to the late Leroy and Elise Harvin.
She received her education in the public schools. Julia dedicated many years of her life as a private caregiver, sharing her compassion and kindness with those she served. She had a deep love for gardening, cooking, and dancing, and she brought joy and laughter to everyone around her.
Julia member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Yemassee, South Carolina, where she worshiped and served with devotion until her health began to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
her loving sister, Mary Brown (Louis) of Wilmington, SC; her devoted children, Donna Davis and Benny Davis, both of Columbia, SC; and four cherished grandchildren, Julia Ciera Ruffin of Columbia, SC; Benny Davis Jr. of New York; Jamaal Davisof Walterboro, SC; and O’Neshia Newman of Charleston, SC.
Julia was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She is also survived by her bonus sister, Gladys Robinson of New York; and her bonus brothers, Norman Robinson (Louise) of Yemassee, SC; Norris Robinson of New York; and Danny Robinson (Denise) of New York.
Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Liles.
She will be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Julia’s beautiful spirit, warm smile, and loving heart will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
