John Victor Fields

Mr. John V. Fields, the son of the late Mr. John W. Fields and Betty Rose Frasier Fields was born on December 27, 1959, in Walterboro, South Carolina.  He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Medical University of South Carolina.

John attended the public schools of Colleton County and was a 1977 graduate of Walterboro High School.  John was employed with the Colleton County School district for over twenty years, and recently retired in May of 2023. Prior to working with the local school district, he was employed with Swift as a truck driver.

Along with his parents John is preceded in death by a loving grandmother; Julia B. King-Frasier.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a god-son; Corey (Teyanna) Chapman, of South Carolina, one sister; Janelle Fields of New Jersey, one brother; Tyrone Fields of Florida, Aunts; Julia F. Ruffin, Maryphine F. Millen,  and Mary H. Frasier all of South Carolina, one uncle; Wilbur Fields of Pennsylvania, special friends; Gwendolyn Colleton, Roman Millen, Carl Gant, Debra Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
