Jessie Johns, Jr., son of the late Mary Jane and Jessie Johns, Sr., was born on September 27, 1957, in Colleton County.
He departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at his residence.
Jessie attended the public schools of Colleton County. At an early age he attended Hickory Hill and Buckhead United Methodist Church.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Debra Jane Johns and to this union two children were born.
Jessie was preceded in death by his ten brothers and ten sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memories children; Shannon Johns and Tyler(Jessica) Johns; seven step-children, Sharon Jenkins, Niakal Jenkins, Brenda, Sonjia, Cheryl, and Farris; grandchildren, Ni’drea Elliott, Khalid Osman, De’Andre Johns, Malasia Johns and Tanyah Johns; sister, Barbara Williams; sisters-in-law, Nadine George and Carol Jones; brothers-in-law, Charlie (Marion) Reddish, Haskel Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, Larry Jenkins, Stanley Jenkins and Arnold Jenkins; a very special friend, Betty Sanders; a granddaughter who cared for him in the home, Dyara Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
