On Monday, February 9, 1953, Betty Claire Shider announced
the birth of a baby boy, Jeffery Tobias Shider. He departed this
earthly life peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024.
EDUCATION
Jeffery graduated from Walterboro High School in 1972.
LIFE AND SERVICE TO GOD AND COMMUNITY
Jeffery was an exceptional Friend who captured the hearts of others
through his acts of kindness, love and humor. He dedicated 15 years to
Spell's Furniture and Appliances, Inc. and 20 years to the Colleton
County School District as a Custodian. He loved watching football,
especially the Dallas Cowboys, Gunsmoke, and baseball, a favorite
being the Atlanta Braves. His favorite saying was "YOU CAN LEARN
A LOT FROM A DUMMY."
Jeffery was preceded in death by his mother Betty Claire Shider; three
uncles, Henry Lewis Shider, David Carl “DC” Shider, and George
Shider; and two aunts, Rosa Lee Crawford and Bessie Farmer.
HIS FAMILY
Jeffery leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Antonio T. Shider, of
Cottageville; one daughter, Sylvia O. Singleton, of Cottageville; three
brothers, Stanley Shider of Belton, Texas, Wayne (Kathy) Shider of
Walterboro, and Kenneth Shider of Albany, NY; three grandchildren,
Ky-Nasia Shider, DeAndre Shider, and Aiden Singleton; four great
grandchildren, Kaiden Leach, Kyrie Rhode, Kason Rhode, and Jamalan
Bryant, Jr.; several other relatives, and friends.
