Sister Jeanette (Pecker) Gardner the daughter of the late Mr. James and Elouise Green, was born on March 24, 1958, in Jacksonboro, South Carolina.
She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County, South Carolina and graduated from Baptist Hill High School. She worked as a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for many years, and she also worked in the school system at Porter Guard High School until she became the beloved Secretary at Annie’s Beauty Salon for over 27 years.
Jeanette became a member of the Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonboro, South Carolina as a young girl, under the leadership of the late, Rev. Harry Chaplin. She served as church secretary and choir member for many years and later became a member of the Usher Board, where she served until her health failed.
Those who proceeded her in death were her parents, Deacon James Franklin Green and Deaconess Elouise Green and brother, Horace Green.
She leaves to cherish her memories are her husband, Mr. Larry Gardner of Jacksonboro, SC; her children, Mr. Damon Green (Kimala) of Walterboro, SC, Mrs. Deadgrea Gardner (Kendrick) of Columbia, SC, Mr. Daron Gardner (Indiar) of McDonough, GA and Mr. Larry Gardner, Jr. of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Pastor Annie P. Holmes (Deacon Wesley) and Mrs. Jessie Lee James (Anthony) both of Jacksonboro, SC; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Green of Jacksonboro, SC, Mrs. Joan Brand (Robert) of Summerville, SC and Mrs. Brenda McGinnis of North Augusta, SC; ten grandchildren, Sha’Layae (Sean), Marquez, Sha’Leyah, Davonte, Savion, Lyric, Keyonna, Key’Lashia and Ja’Quez and Larry Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mrs. Malinda White of Smoaks, SC; a very special nurse and caretaker, Mrs. Andrea McTeer of Walterboro, SC along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
