Mr. Jwann Tykeem Johnson, son of the late Cathy Johnson Hunter and Earnest Wright: was born January 22, 2002 in Walterboro, South Carolina. Educated in the public school system, Jwann graduated from Colleton County High School, class of 2020. As he stepped into manhood, he began working. Most recently, he was employed with the Hardees of Yemassee, South Carolina, and had future ambitions of enlisting with the United States Armed Forces.
Avid in his belief in God and Faith, Jwann became a member of the Aimwell Presbyterian Church under the leadership of Pastor Perry Griffin. Throughout his life, he expressed his love for God by the love he shared for his family and friends. Affectionately known as,” Wanny”; he possessed a certain way of making people laugh and always had a smile on his face. He also had a special love for playing basketball and baseball, every chance he got.
On Tuesday: July 6, 2021, Jwann departed this earthly life. A beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin; his memories will be a comfort to those who now mourn his passing. As he is preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Seymour Wright: left to cherish his legacy are: father, Earnest Wright: grandparents, Alexander (Edna Mae) Wright: sisters, Ashley Wright and Sinquetta Johnson: brothers; Alexis (Ryan) Gourdine; Rodreques (Miko) Johnson, Marquay (Lashonda) Johnson and Raphael Johnson: a special friend, Kayla McCaskill: devoted cousin reared as a sister, Courtney Sweat: along with a host of numerous uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
