Erica Nicole Fishburne

Erica Nicole Fishburne, affectionately known as ‘Nikk” transitioned into eternal life on June 5, 2024.  Erica Nicole Fishburne was born on March 8, 1977, in Colleton County. 

She attended Colleton County Schools where she was a member of the NJROTC. After graduating with the class of 1995, she went on to graduate from Miller Motte Technical College, where she received her CNA and Phlebotomist Certification.  She later graduated with honors from USC with the class of 2021 with her Associates of Science Degree.

Erica enjoyed working with her clients at The Board of Disability.  She had a passion for nursing, however she had to discontinue her pursuit of becoming a nurse because of unforeseen illness.

Erica joined St. Paul CME Church at an early age.

She was known for her smile, free spirit and loving-funny personality.  She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.  Erica was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, friend, niece, granddaughter, goddaughter, cousin and so much more.

Erica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Phillip Greene, Jr and two brothers, Paul Edward Fishburne, Jr. and Ron Simmons.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her mother, Kathy Pinckney; four sons, Bryant Davis, Mauquez Montgomery and Jabari Townsend all of Walterboro, SC and Tyrese Montgomery of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Lyric Alani Davis and Angel America Davis; three sisters, Wanda (Jamie) Brown of Yemassee, SC, Dorothy Tate and Quanita Peppers of Walterboro, SC; four brothers, Quentin (Kenyetta) Fishburne of Kentucky, Ricardo Fishburne of Ridgeville, SC, Derrick Fishburne of Ridgeland, SC and Travis Fair of Atlanta, GA; grandmother, Virginia Greene of Walterboro, SC; three uncles, Bobby Greene, Abraham Greene and Marshall (Dorset) White all of Walterboro, SC; one aunt,  Phyllis Simmons of Walterboro, SC; Godmother, Doris Kay Calloway; two Goddaughters, Jamie Nicole Fishburne and QueNique Kayla Fishburne; three best friends, Asperita Rhodes-White and  Cameron Bryant both of Walterboro, SC and Tamika Elliott of Summerville, SC along with a host of grand aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
