In profound sorrow we announce the immortal transition of Earnest L. Wright. Mr. Earnest was a resident of Walterboro, South Carolina. Loved by many; his kind spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those left to cherish his fond memories. As service arrangements have been updated: please continue to keep the bereaved family in your prayers for solace and peace.
Mr. Earnest L. Wright affectionately known as “Ernie” was born September 24, 1964, to Edna Mae and Alexander Wright in Colleton County of South Carolina.
Earnest attended Walterboro High School and was active in sports such as football and baseball. At a young age, Earnest became a member of the Aimwell Presbyterian Church in Round O, South Carolina.
For many years he was a foreman in construction which led up to him owning his own business “EJS Concrete Company "behind the legacy of his children. He loved his children, and they were his everything.
Ernie had an infectious smile and loved to make someone laugh. His free spirit will be missed. He had a heart of Gold and will forever be remembered in the hearts of those left to cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his children, Seamore Earnest Wright and J’Wann Johnson, along with Granddaughter, Raniya Wright.
He is survived by his parents; Alexander and Edna Mae Wright, only beloved daughter Ashley Wright, Son; Alexis Pringle Gourdine (Ryan), Brothers Sieldrick Wright, Doug Wright, Alexander Wright, Jr. Sisters; Earnestine Beatty (Anthony), A host of loving grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life will be held Friday November 3, 2023, at the hour of Twelve Noon in the edifice of Faith Walterboro.
