Ms. Earline Pierce Koger was born on May 30, 1936, in the Round O community to the late Evans Pierce and Elizabeth Manigault.
Acknowledging Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, Earline joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She was united in holy matrimony to Lester Koger, and three children were born to them: Deborah (preceded her in death), Brenda, and Tamar (preceded her in death).
While Earline enjoyed spending time fishing, the most important thing to her was her family. When Earline was strong and able, she could be found at any family function being hosted. If too much time passed and she had not seen or heard from a loved one, upon their return to her house, they were greeted by Earline and her infamous welcoming question, “What’s your problem”.
Earline was the last of nine children, preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memories, Earline leaves one daughter, Brenda (Ricky) Gilliard. Although she had no biological sons, Earline always considered her first born grandchild, Eugene, to be her son. She also leaves her special friend Jacob Inabinett; seven grandchildren, an adopted granddaughter, Tacisha Pinckney, and seven great grandchildren.
