Detris Diane “Dee Dee” Risher, born on March 28, 1956, to the late Harvey Risher and late Edna Kinard Risher, peacefully departed her earthly home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Augusta, Georgia.
A proud 1974 graduate of Walterboro High School, Dee Dee carried her bright spirit and strong sense of family throughout her life. She found joy in cooking for those she loved and cheering on her favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Dee Dee was proceeded in death by her life partner of thirty years, Ralph Stevens; two brothers, Jerry Kinard Sr. and Edward Risher and one sister, Lucille Risher.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving daughters, Brittney Risher and Jayne’ Stevens both of Augusta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Harlem Israel and A’zariah Stevens both of Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Queen Risher (Jackie) of Augusta, Georgia and Thelma Stephens of Spartanburg, South Carolina; nephews, Jerry Kinard, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia, David Kinard of Charleston, South Carolina, Pastor Richard Kinard (Evangelist Monique) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Vince Risher and Patrick Risher both of Walterboro, South Carolina and Jerrell Stephens (Kristin) of Panama City, Florida; nieces, Donna Moore-Owens of New York, Kimberly Stephens and Patrice Stephens both of Ruffin, South Carolina, Tyneshia Stephens-Champion (Antonio) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Ashely Boatwright of Ruffin, South Carolina and Rylee Gant of Varnville, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Randy Stevens (Veronica) of Varnville, South Carolina; two aunts, Ginette Breland of Walterboro, South Carolina and Earnestine Haynes of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along with a host of cousins and friends.
