Debbie Manigo-Washington was born on October 5, 1965, to the late Annabelle and the late Johnny Manigo, Sr. in Green Pond, SC. She was one of eight children from that union. She entered eternal rest on the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Trident Hospital with loved ones by her side.
She attended Walterboro High School in Walterboro, SC. After attending school, she was employed in Hospitality & Home Healthcare. She was blessed with three daughters: Ebony Mungin, Lafayette Smalls (Antwan Smalls) and Johnnetta Mungin.
As a youth she attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Green Pond, SC.
Debbie Manigo-Washington enjoyed spending time with family, telling it how it is and was passionate about creating a warm space in her home. She committed the later years to taking care of her husband Isaac and grandson Asiah Williams, whom she holds dear to her heart. She was her family’s constant cheerleader and supporter.
Everyone who she came in contact with will never forget her because of who she was, how she was, and how she remained.
In glory, she will meet her youngest daughter, Johnnetta Mungin; her mother, Annabelle Manigo; her father, Johnny Manigo, Sr and her brother, Johnny Manigo, Jr.
Debbie Manigo-Washinton is survived by her husband, Isaac Washington; daughters, Ebony Mungin (Jervay Myers), Lafayette Smalls (Antwan Smalls); son/grandson, Asiah Williams; grandchildren, Danielle, Shamar, Trayveon, Kevin, Aza, Jervay, Jr., Antwan, Anastacia and Rashard; sisters, Minnie Peal, Marilyn Ann, Jinell (Dennis); brothers, Elijah (Patricia), Robert and Nathaniel along with other cousins, relatives and friends.
