Mr. Charles Henry Green, Sr.: son of the late, James & Emily Murray Green; was born on September 11, 1946 in the Roadside Community of Yemassee, South Carolina. Spending his entire youth in his native community, Charles received his formal education and attended Walterboro High School. Also, as a youth he accepted the Lord as his Savior, and joined the Mount Nebo Baptist Church. As he became an adult, Charles became employed as a carpenter. He would spend his entire lifetime mastering his trade, until his health began to fail.
On July 8, 1971, Charles was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Sheila. They would share a union of love and commitment for over fifty years, as well as sharing the love of three wonderful children. From a youth until, Charles had various past times. He loved to play baseball, go fishing, hunting and hanging with all of his friends. One of his favorite past times was also watching football, and he had a genuine love for both the Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers.
During the morning hours of July 2, 2021; Charles traded time to gain eternity. As his legacy will forever be cherished and celebrated by all who knew and loved him. Along with his parents, Charles is also preceded in death by, siblings, Orene, James, Jr. and Oscar. Left to embrace fond memories are: loving wife, Sheila of the home; one devoted daughter, Alicia Wright: two caring sons, Charles Green, Jr. and Jarvis Dwayne (Andreca) Green: four grandsons, five granddaughters, six great-grandchildren: two sisters, Rebecca Jinks and Beulah “Sarah” Green: one brother, William “Dan” (Doretha) Green: sister and brother in laws, Gary, Grady, Jr., Henry, Donnie, Sammie and Desiree: one uncle, Samuel Murray: along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
