Brian Bartholowmew Obituary

 Brian J. Bartholomew was born in Queens, New York on May 11, 1964, to Oliver and Louise Bartholomew.  He was the youngest of six children Richie, Tangy, Russell, Julie, and Andre.  Brian was called "Biney" by family members and grew to adulthood in the Flushing, Queens community of Electchester.  Brian made many friends and many grew to love him. During elementary school, Brian became close friends with Charles, Edward, Louie, Dean, John, Russell, and Robert.  He remained friends with his elementary school friends and later worked with them after graduating high school.

   After graduating High School he joined the Local 3 IBEW Union. He graduated from Empire State College with an Associate’s Degree in Science from the State University of New York. He worked for over 30 years with the Local 3 Union. He was devoted to Granville T. Woods and the Latimer Club.  Brian loved to work and volunteer during Thanksgiving to feed the homeless.

  He moved to Elmont, Long Island in 1997. On June 23, 2001, he married Jacqueline Curry and they resided in Long Island. 

     Brain enjoyed many hobbies: cooking, traveling, baking, bowling, fishing, biking, and was in a Cigar Club.  Brian loved cigars, especially milk and cream cigars.  Brian and “His Boys”- Rob, Russell, Aaron, and Stevie attended to Big Smoke in Las Vegas every year for the past 15+ years. Together they launched their cigar group CigarRagic.  He shared many of his hobbies with his beloved friends; Russell, Robert, Aaron, and Stevie.

     Brian touched many lives and will be greatly missed.  He leaves to mourn a host of family and friends.
