Anthony Anderson Sanders

Mr. Anthony Anderson Sanders, the beloved son of the late Jerollus Sanders and Ruth Sanders, was born on December 23, 1966, in Walterboro, South Carolina. He was raised in the Walterboro community and received his education through the Colleton County Public School System, graduating with the Class of 1985.

Known for his ever-present smile and kind heart, Anthony was respected and loved by many. On September 6, 2003, he was united in marriage to the late Paula DuBois-Sanders. Together they built a life of love and devotion and were blessed with two beautiful daughters.

On Friday, June 20, 2025, Anthony entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Paula, his father Jerollus Sanders, his brother Dennis Sanders, four aunts—Queen Esther Taylor, Janie Fields, Louise Esson, and Helen Jones—and two uncles, Sandy Fields and Cubit Fields Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Ms. Ruth Sanders of Walterboro, SC; his daughters, Breyonna Sanders of Summerville, SC, and Breya Sanders of Walterboro, SC; three bonus sons, Breyon (Kennietha) of Tampa, FL, Mar’Quez of Walterboro, SC, and Mar’Kez of Junction City, KS; five grandkids, Madison, Malachi, Kyson, Nova, & KenBrey; one sister, Shirley Sanders of Walterboro, SC; one brother, Kelvin Sanders of Walterboro, SC; three aunts, Betty Sanders Jones of Cottageville, SC, Emma Holmes of Round O, SC, and Ann Fields of Walterboro, SC; two uncles, Hubert Sanders of Cottageville, SC, and Sherman Holmes Sr. of Round O, SC; one niece, DeQuanda Sanders of Ellenwood, GA; one nephew, Carl Hamlin Jr. of Stone Mountain, GA; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
