Angela “Angie” Ladonne Williams was born on September 26, 1963 to John and Sylvia Davis Williams in Green Pond South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County and attended USC – Salk.
Angie loved to have fun and everyone enjoyed being in her presence. She had a humor that could keep you laughing. She demonstrated that you did not need to use a lot of words to get your point across. Angie loved watching gospel and old school videos, and you could often hear her singing along. Angie liked to travel (with certain people) and in her later years spent countless
weeks visiting her sister Estelle in Virginia. Angie also took her first cruise with her best friend Ida Simmons.
Angie was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle and seldom missed a church service. She especially loved the praise and worship service. Whenever one of her favorite songs was sung, she stood to her feet and worshipped the Lord in her own way and never worried about who may be watching.
Early on Wednesday October 16, 2024, Angie was called to rest from her labor. Preceding her in death were her parents John and Sylvia Williams and siblings Gracie Mae, John Jr., and Anna.
Left to cherish her memories are her siblings: Grace Ann Thomas (Billy) of San Jose, CA; Oregon Laverne Sims of Las Vegas, NV; Rodney Williams of Green Pond, SC; Arthur Lee
Williams (Leila) of Walterboro, SC; Estelle Justin of Portsmouth, VA; Reggie Singleton (Gwen) of Matthews, NC; and Geraldine Singleton of Charleston, SC. Angela had two close friends that she spent a lot of time with: Ida Simmons, best friends since high school and Sis. Sarah Bodison, one of her church sisters. Even though Angie never had any children of her own, she was very fond of and will be remembered by her nieces and nephews: Fred McFadden (Steve); Rotunia Zuniga (Jorge); Stan McFadden (Celeste); Courtney Helms; Erika Dawson; DeAngelo Williams, Tivana Williams; Faith Williams; Maurice Williams (Tina); Sylvia Joy Williams (Romeo); Aaliyah Singleton, Kamali Singleton, and Jahlani Singleton; and grand nieces, grand nephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephew, and cousins.
