In Loving Remembrance:
On May 24, 1985, an angel by the name of Dominique Laverne Washington, was given as a gift of life to Ms. Doreen Washington and Mr. Donald F. Bangs, in Beaufort, Carolina. On Monday, January 7, 2019, while at the Trident Medical Center of Charleston, God plucked his flower from the garden of life; while being surrounded by her family and friends.
Dominique was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. While in school, she was a member of the NJROTC, Who’s Who Among High School Students, and continually maintained her Honor Roll status until her graduation. Dominique enjoyed singing, and her favorite song was “I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired.” She also loved solving cross word puzzles. Her friendly and caring personality with her infectious smile, made her one of a kind and was known and remembered everywhere she went!
Left to embrace and remember her life are son, Tavion Washington; mother, Doreen Washington of Walterboro, South Carolina; devoted grandparents who reared her as their own, Calvin & Daisy Gantt of Walterboro, South Carolina; grandfather, Daniel Smalls (Gail) of Sheldon, South Carolina; uncles, Elder Clint Williams (Margie) of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and LaTroy Smalls (Felicia) of Ladson, South Carolina; one aunt, Sharleana Williams of Walterboro, South Carolina; along with a host of numerous other relatives and friends.
