Respectfully we honor the legacy of the life of Mrs. Wila D. Gethers.
Mrs. Wila Denise Bowman-Gethers, was born in Walterboro, South Carolina to William & Emma Bowman on July 17, 1965. She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County and graduated from Walterboro High School in 1984. She was person that believed God, loved God and trusted Him with all her life. She was an active member of the Live Oak Deliverance Center of Walterboro, South Carolina, serving on the usher board and singing on the choir.
Being employed with several different jobs throughout her lifetime, she was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and much more. Affectionately known as “Niecy”, she loved meeting people, cooking, and helping anyone that came her way.
On Monday: December 2, 2019 “Neicy” bid this earthly realm farewell. She will be sorely missed for her sweet spirit and kind heart towards everyone.
Those left to cherish her memories are: loving husband of the home, Curtis Lee Gethers: two beautiful children, Willie J. Seabrook and Latrice Shantel Seabrook: stepchildren, Melissa Gethers, Brittany Gethers and Curtis K. Gethers: three grandchildren, Skylashia, Xavier and Jamyah: loving devoted parents, Pastor & Co-Pastor William and Emma Bowman: sisters, Phyllis (Kevin) Simpson and Edithe (Calvin) Sligh: brothers, William (Shelissa) Bowman, Jr. and Melvin (Tamara) Bowman: siblings in law, Mary Lou Jackson, Richard (Annette) Gethers, Alfornia (Joyce) Gethers, Queen (Edward) Ellison, Sarah Ann Jenkins, Sylvia (James) Robinson and Frank (Anna) Gethers; along with a host of numerous other relatives and caring friends.
