Respectfully, we honor the life of Mrs. Kathleen "Kat" Brock, 81, of Cottageville, South Carolina.
Mrs. Kathleen Hudson Brock was born on January 14, 1938 to the late Ransom Hudson and Lil Mitchell Hudson, in Colleton County. Educated in the public schools, she received her high school diploma and entered the work force right out of high school. Kathleen spent several years as a fabricator with the former J. P. Stevens of Walterboro, South Carolina. Affectionately
known to all as, “Kat”; she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Lawrence Clyde Brock. They were the prominent owners of Club Castaway of Cottageville and enjoyed many pastimes until his passing.
The matriarch of the Brocktown community, as well as known abroad; if she liked you, you’d know it, if she didn’t like you, you’d still know it. Reserved and to herself, Kat was about her business and her family. To know her was to love her. On Saturday: October 5, 2019, Kat bid this earthly world a farewell as she entered her eternal rest. Preceding her in death along with her husband are; daughter, Janie D. Brock; and two brothers-in-law, Deacon Sinclair Edwards and Mr. Franklin Holmes. Left to embrace the moments of her legacy are: children, Patricia A. Lee of Summerville, South Carolina and David “Doc” Lee of the home. Grandsons reared in the home; Pastor Antonia K. Lee (Colanda) of Manning, South Carolina and Jarus Lee (Toni) of Jacksonville, Florida: Great grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler, Jarus, II, Jayceon, Le’Jerica and Dontonique: two sisters, Pearl Holmes and Beverly Edwards: one brother, Leroy Hudson (Betty): special friends who were her drivers, J.W. North, Steve Hamilton and Carleen Davis: along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements have been updated. Please leave a candle of memorandum, or feel free to sign the online guestbook as expressions of sympathy to this bereaved family.
