Mr. Samuel Sanders

Mr. Samuel “Sam” Sanders, son of the late Mary Sanders and the late James Chisolm, Sr. was born in Colleton County on May 19, 1953.  He departed this life on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Sam attended public schools in Colleton County.  He was employed with J F Pedersen Company of Hollywood, SC until he retired. He was united in holy matrimony to Sadie Holmes.  To this union no children were born. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents James Chisolm Sr. and Mary Sanders, his sister Sarah Holmes and brothers Daniel “Dan” Sanders (his twin), Elgin Chisolm, and James “Buck” Chisolm Jr. Those left to embrace his memories of the life he lived are step-children: James “Deirdre” Holmes, Sinclair “Monica” Holmes and Deena Holmes of Walterboro, SC.  One sister Janice (Quinton) Wright, one brother Michael (Betty) Chisolm Cottageville, SC one Sister-in-law Dyann Chisolm, one Aunt Eliza Sanders, Cottageville, SC.  Cousins who were like brothers to him Troy Sanders, Edward Sanders, Harold “Perk” Sanders and Ervin Sanders a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
