Respectfully, we honor the legacy of the life of, Mr. Lewis Rhodes. Age, 82, Mr. Rhodes resided in Walterboro, South Carolina and is a former native of the Neyles Community. Beloved he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Lewis Rhodes, son of the late Saul & Bertha Rhodes, was born on July 8, 1937. He received his formal education with the public-school system of Colleton County. Upon competing his educational studies, Lewis enlisted in the United States Air Force. As he was discharged, Lewis entered the workforce. He began working with the Coca Cola Plant of Walterboro.
His favorite past times was spending time and anything that involved his family. He enjoyed helping family and friends with anything that he could get into. To know him was to love him and hear his favorite saying, “Don’t push Charlie!”
On Thursday: January 2, 2020, Lewis departed this earthly life at the Colleton Medical Center of Walterboro, South Carolina. Preceding him in death along with his parents, are: three sisters, Sally Mae Rhodes, Frances Gantt and Mary Agnes Manigo; two aunts, Sadie Pinckney and Katherine Rhodes.
Left to cherish his memories are: one brother, Nathan (Erie) Pinckney of Round O, SC: a special friend whom he lived with for numerous years and appreciated, Mr. Roosevelt Chaplin: along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.
