Respectfully, we honor the life of Mr. Isaac "Marion" Blue, 65, of Green Pond, South Carolina. Isaac Marion Blue was born July 10, 1954, the fourth child of Nathaniel and Ernestine Blue. His formal education began at Green Pond Elementary School, was furthered at Walterboro High School, and he later received certification as a professional truck driver. His Christian education began at home nurtured by his mother Ernestine and grandparents, Bro. Arthur and Sis. Amy Stewart. His faith later led him to the Message and fellowship of Lighthouse Tabernacle. Marion worked on various construction sites and, as a member of Southeastern Ironworkers, completed a number of jobs in that capacity. Marion was a great supporter of family, enjoying laughter, good food, and fellowship. He especially enjoyed a good game of football or basketball. Another one of his favorite pastimes was baseball, having served as a player/coach for his hometown
team. His no-nonsense approach to life was well known by his family and friends.
On June 28, 1997, he was united in holy marriage to Audrey Ophelia Ford, and they spent the ensuing years loving each other and building a life together. He was preceded in death by his father Nathaniel, his mother Ernestine, one brother George Stewart, and his son-in-law, Galyus Bailey. To cherish precious memories of him, Marion leaves his lovingly devoted wife Audrey; his son Andrew (April) Lawton of Atlanta, GA; his daughter Tamika Bailey of Hardeeville, SC; his step-son, Cedrick L. Ford of Ritter, SC; four brothers: Nathaniel Blue of New York; Herbert (Kathy) Blue of New York; Lee Norris (Sarah) Blue of Green Pond, SC; and Arthur or “Ricky” (Acquilla) Blue of Green Pond, SC; two uncles: Walter (Linda) Stewart of New York and Arthur “AJ” (Bessie) Stewart of North Carolina; one aunt, Ruth Edmonds of Baltimore, MD; four brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, along with a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
