Mr. Harvey Clayton Obituary

Respectfully, we honor the life of Mr. Harvey Clayton. Mr. Clayton, 75, was a resident of Walterboro, South Carolina.

Mr. Harvey Clayton, son of the late Catherine Moore & Abraham Ancrum; was born December 12, 1943 in Walterboro,South Carolina.He began his Christian journey at an early age with the Red Bank United Methodist Church of Walterboro, South Carolina. Harvey received his formal education in the public-school system of Colleton County. Upon completing his education, he became employed with Jennings Concrete of North Charleston, and would remain for many years. In his spare time, Harvey enjoyed horseback riding and hanging  with his “Crew” at McDonalds. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. On Thursday: October 31, 2019, at the Colleton Medical Center,
Harvey quietly gained his heavenly wings. His presence in our lives will forever be cherished and missed. Preceding him in death is one son, Vada Crawford.
Left to cherish his memories are: three daughters; Cynthia (Henry) Sanders of Walterboro, SC; Donna Crawford of Charleston, SC and Tasca Crawford of Walterboro, SC: four sons,
James (Venus) Clayton, Vinson Clayton and Troy Crawford, all of Walterboro, SC and Dwayne (Mona) Greensboro, NC: seventeen grandchildren: sixteen great-grandchildren: four brothers,
Clarence (Viola) Moore, Jr., Cecil (Willie Mae) Moore, George Moore and Bernard Moore, all of Walterboro, SC: three sisters, Pastor Joan Youmans of Beaufort, SC; Shirley Moore of
Summerville, SC and Geraldine Moore of Walterboro, SC: Mother of his children, Sara Clayton of Walterboro, SC: devoted friends, Albert Griffin, Ernest Simpson, Jr., Al Miller, Michael
Ackerman and Oliver Nelson: grandchildren whom were reared in his presence; Andrew Clayton, Hernandez Sanders, Bria Johnson, Jatasia Clayton, Kenny Crawford, Taylor Smith and
Isiah Clayton: along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
